Alyssa Rosenbaum is an ordained cantor as of May 2021, earning her Masters degree in Jewish Sacred Music from the Academy for Jewish Religion, California.

Alyssa has had a lifelong passion for music. Her songwriting really began to take off once she learned to play the guitar through her cantorial school journey at AJRCA, starting in 2016. She picked up learning guitar fairly quickly and soon found herself composing new melodies for the world she was immersing herself in, Jewish music. She has written a handful of secular songs, as well.

Alyssa's musical influences run the gamut in terms of genre and style. Some of her favorites are those her parents would listen to: classic rock like the Eagles or folk like Simon and Garfunkel, as well as many of the melodies from her own childhood in the 90s and 00s.

Alyssa is currently working on her debut album of Jewish music. Stay tuned for more information on this project!
